Course goal
This level takes students from being AI users to being AI creators. They meet Python, the core ideas of machine learning, and the way applications talk to AI models through APIs. By the end they have built a working AI-powered application of their own.
Who this level is for
Required
- Comfortable using a computer
- Basic logical thinking
- Able to follow step-by-step instructions
Helpful, but not required
- • Some previous programming exposure
- • Familiarity with variables and simple conditions
- • Students with no coding experience can complete a short Python foundation module first.
Group course · 10 weekly classes
One hour a week for ten weeks — ten hours in total. Nine teaching classes, then a final presentation delivered to parents.
| # | Class | What is covered | In class |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | AI, ML and Generative AI | The real differences between AI, machine learning, deep learning and generative AI. | Concept mapping |
| 2 | Introduction to Python | Variables, strings, numbers, input and output. | Build first Python programs |
| 3 | Python Logic | Lists, conditions, loops and functions. | Mini project: quiz or guessing game |
| 4 | Data and Machine Learning | Features, labels, training data, test data and predictions. | Worked real-world examples |
| 5 | Train Your First ML Model | Load data, train a model, make predictions, evaluate results. | Beginner datasets |
| 6 | Understanding AI Models | What a model is, why models differ, classification versus prediction. | Model comparison |
| 7 | Introduction to AI APIs | How an application talks to a model: user, application, model, response. | Build a simple AI interaction |
| 8 | Prompt Engineering Basics | Instructions, context, examples, output formatting and iteration. | Brief issued at the end of class |
| 9 | Build an AI Application | Planning and building a working AI-powered tool for the brief. | Guided project work |
| 10 | Final Presentation | Students present their research and what they built, then take questions. | Parents attend |
The project brief is issued at the end of Class 8. Students research and build between sessions, with guided support in Class 9, and present in Class 10.
Class 10 · Final presentation
The closing class is held with parents and the instructor. Each student presents the research they have done and the thing they have built, then answers questions.
The brief
Each student receives a written brief and builds an AI-powered solution to it.
What students prepare
- • A problem statement and a target user
- • A working prototype or demonstration
What they present
- • Where AI is used in the solution
- • An honest account of the limitations
Format: a five to ten minute presentation followed by questions from parents and the instructor.

Tools and environment
Inside a class
- 5 minRecap — Quick challenge on last week's ideas
- 15 minNew concept — The idea of the week, taught simply
- 20 minHands-on activity — Students try it themselves
- 15 minBuild or experiment — Applying it to their own work
- 5 minReflection — Wrap-up and a task for the week
What your child leaves with
“I can write basic Python and build a simple application using AI.”
Takeaway. Working Python fundamentals, a first trained ML model, and an AI application the student built themselves.
AI can help you think, but it should not think instead of you. Students are taught to question outputs and understand limits, not to depend on the tools.
