Class 1
How Modern AI Actually Works
Machine learning, deep learning, generative AI and LLMs: where each is genuinely used, and what the technology can and cannot do.

WHIZPREP APPLIED AI PROGRAMS
A 10-week applied course, any discipline.
Four classes of real foundations, then six built around the degree you are actually doing. Open to undergraduates and postgraduates in any subject. Python helps, but is not required.

CLASSES 1–4 · CORE FOUNDATIONS
Everyone starts with a working understanding of modern AI, independent of whichever tool is fashionable.
Class 1
Machine learning, deep learning, generative AI and LLMs: where each is genuinely used, and what the technology can and cannot do.
Class 2
Reliable prompting, context windows, structured outputs and why models hallucinate. Get reliable results from an unreliable system.
Class 3
Datasets, features, labelling, bias and evaluation. Understand why AI projects often fail on data before modelling.
Class 4
The anatomy of an AI application: APIs, retrieval, vector search, agents and workflows. Learn how real products are assembled.
CLASSES 5–9 · YOUR TRACK
Class 5 confirms your track and project. Classes 6–9 are taught inside it, using data from your own field. Your track and brief can still change in Class 5.
Typically taken by CSE, IT and ECE students.
What you build
A deployed AI app with retrieval, an API layer and a public repo.
Typically taken by Finance, economics and commerce students.
What you build
A document extraction or forecasting tool built on real market data.
Typically taken by BBA, MBA and management students.
What you build
An agentic workflow automating a real process, with an ROI case.
Typically taken by Medical, biotech and pharmacy students.
What you build
A clinical text or imaging prototype, built with evaluation rigour.
Typically taken by Design, journalism and media students.
What you build
A generative pipeline producing brand-consistent output, plus an IP review.
Typically taken by Any discipline, headed for research or postgraduate study.
What you build
A literature retrieval and analysis tool with a reproducible method.
CLASS 10 · FINAL PRESENTATION
Present your chosen problem, the system you built and what it does not do to the instructor and the group. Ten minutes, followed by technical questions.

ALSO AVAILABLE · FIVE 1:1 CLASSES
Choose a one-to-one option built entirely around a dissertation, hackathon, job application or existing project.
You keep your project, code and presentation. Leave able to explain how modern AI works, build a system for your field and say honestly where it fails.
A fifteen-minute intake conversation covers your degree, year, coding comfort and goal. Your track and project brief are confirmed from there.
